PEI Council of People with Disabilities offers assistance with career decision making, career counseling, skills enhancement, and job search techniques, including resume preparation, cover letter writing, and interview preparation. Job maintenance and pre-employment training are also available. They also do direct marketing, applications for wage subsidies, and job coaching. Abilities@Work supports private-sector employers and people with different abilities through a wage subsidy program.
Abilities@Work will provide a wage subsidy to employers that hire eligible participants that may require additional training time or accommodation. Value added features like job coaching, retention services and other employment services are available to businesses that participate in Abilities@Work.
